The Pixel 6 series is expected to debut this fall. And according to a podcast that was released back in May with Max Weinbach (a popular tipster and tech journalist), Google is developing a custom chipset. Today, Jon Prosser shares what he refers to as the “final specifications” of the Pixel 6 series.
One of the big improvements from the supposedly final specs of the Google Pixel 6 over the previous models is the battery size. The Pixel 6 will pack a 4,614 mAh battery capacity while the Pro variant will come with a 5,000 mAh cell.
The Google Pixel 6 will be built around a 6.4” AMOLED display. At the back of the device, there will be two cameras – 50MP main and 12MP ultrawide units. Memory-wise, there will be 8GB RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of storage.
For the Google Pixel 6 Pro, there will be a bigger 6.71″ screen with a P-OLED display that is supposedly coming from LG. The back camera setup is a 50MP main lens, 48MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. While the front camera is the same 12MP camera featured on the Pixel 6. The RAM size of the Pro model is 12GB with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
Both the Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are expected to be among the first to ship with the newest Google’s Android 12 operating system. Prosser also claims that Google is promising a five years minimum of software updates, which is great for potential buyers.
